Celebrity style & Bridal expert, April burns, says The first time you wear high heels can be awkward. After all, you’re walking on your tippy-toes. If you’re a newbie, try kitten heels first and work your way yup. A kitten heel is a thin heel that is an inch and a half in length or shorter. If you do fall or stumble, don’t be embarrassed. I slipped a few times when I was learning to walk in heels! Get right back up and laugh it off. When shopping for heels, remember that the thicker the heel, the more balance it provides. If you plan to walk in these shoes, or hop on the bus or subway, keep that in mind. Also, make sure the shoes fit well. High heels are chic, but blisters and a foot full of Band-Aids are not!! One last worf ioord of advice-if you are wearing heels and going up or down stars, use the handrails! stars and heels aren’t the best mix. I know a girl who have taken bad spills on stars, so don’t let that happen to you.
